The Transport Department of the Polytechnic of Rijeka carries out two first-level study programs and one second-level study program.
 
By completing the undergraduate professional study programs of Road and Railroad Transport, students are trained to begin their professional career.
By finishing these two undergraduate study programs and obtaining 180 ECTS credits, students gain the professional title:
 
  • Professional Bachelor of Transport Engineering
 
Students can also obtain second-level training by enrolling into the specialist graduate professional study program of Transport at the Polytechnic of Rijeka.
By completing the specialist graduate professional study program of Transport and obtaining 300 ECTS credits (180 + 120 ECTS credits), students receive the professional title:
 
  •  Professional Specialist of Transport Engineering
All the study programs are carried out at the Polytechnic of Rijeka headquarters as full-time and part-time programs.

Transport Department Programs - the Structure of Professional Study Programs

 

The undergraduate professional study program of Road Transport - aims at training experts for conducting complex operative tasks of designing projects and assignments such as planning the preparation, improvement and control of  tech- nological and service processes in the area of road transport.

The undergraduate professional study program of Railroad Transport - aims at training experts in railroad transport to work on performing complex operative tasks in the area of transport, applying professional knowledge and skills while dealing with techniques, technology and security of railroad transport.

The specialist graduate professional study program of Transport with areas of specialization in road, railroad and postal services has the basic objective of providing theoretical and professional training of a certain number of specialists in managing transport economy in order to achieve optimal technological and economic effects accompanied with high level of environment protection.
